Due to an illness and then death in the editor's family, 2010's 4th quarter Pine Tree Mysteries had to be cancelled. We hope the wait was not too painful for the authors wishing to see their stories published already.
Two talented authors whose work has appeared in previous issues of PTM are again featured. Bruce Harris scores with Cup of Coffee, the story of an ill-starred baseball player who hit one out of the park when he changed careers. Newcomer Tom Swoffer tells the sad tale, My Final Affair, of a philandering husband who finds that his wife has decided to end their marriage her way. In Homicide in Haliburton Virginia Winters' protagonist, Dr. Anne MacPhail, who has graced Pine Tree Mysteries before, finds herself trying to figure out who killed a much married businessman and then his trophy wife - and why they did it.
